vintage 1930s ladies cardigan

Patons 3102L: vintage ladies cardigan from early 1930s, very fashionable again 80 years later. Easy pattern, knitted in wool cord, which meant that it was tight spun to give a clean, firm look similar to the 1960s perle from Robin without the sheen. Ordinary double knitting will work, just work a tension square and change needles according to your tension to get the right number of stitches to the inch. To fit 36" chest. Nice back page on this one with pictures of pattern available at that time in the 1930s.

great vintage ladies knitting pattern for unusual jumper from 1930s

Patons 3474L: Great vintage ladies knitting pattern for crossover jumper from late 1930s. A lot of these designs followed through in to the 1940s due to paper shortage, wool and other resources being scarce including designers. Although this one states a 2ply wool it was in fact a 4ply, always work a tension square and change needles if needed. The original was worked in white with green, yellow and blue stripes. Lovely summery colours. I love the unusual styling of this design. To fit 35 inch bust.

ladies summer top knitting patterns

Patons 3467:Great vintage knitting pattern from the 1930's for a summer top in unusual pattern to fit 34" bust. Tension is measured over one pattern, it is essential to work the tension square in these vintage patterns to get the correct size as wool and needles are different now, but once you know how many stitches you knit on the needles suggested in you chosen yarn, you know whether you need to add or subtract stitches or a change of needles will work. This pattern has pictures of other pattern available at that time, very interesting, this page is included in the pdf.
