vintage ladies knitting pattern copley984 ladies suit 1930s

Copley 984: Great vintage ladies suit knitting pattern 1930s. This stunning suit, including jacket and skirt is worked in modern 4ply, but work a tension square before you start and change needles if needed to get the correct tension for size. The fabric needs to be firm but flexible, you could try using double knitting but as this ply was not available at that time it is more likely to be nearer our modern 4ply. There were were wools like 'speedknit' which fell between the two, similar to the 1950s quicker-knit - so try and see which one will suit your tension.
