vintage ladies glove knitting a nd crochet patterns 1940s

Weldons 456: Great vintage crochet and knitting pattern ladies gloves 1940s. This fabulous wartime knitting and crochet pattern has two different designs. both are worked in vintage 3ply, so always work a tension square for each one and change needles or hook if needed. You may find that modern 4ply works better and is of course easier to get hold of in adult colours. Over all length for both is 8.75 inches - but this adjustable and cross the back of hand above thumb division is 3 inches, which is pretty standard for the time, a larger size hook or needle will give a bit more freedom if your hands are a little on the plump side (like mine!)
