Bestway 603cr: Great vintage string bag crochet pattern 1940. This pattern also has incstuctions for a KNITTED hot water bottle cover and slippers. All vintage 3ply so a modern 4ply will work, but work tension square to make sure. Bag is crochet in vintag 3ply cotton, so try modern 20 but change hook if needed.

Bestway 788: vintage knitting pattern for slippers, sandals and handbag worked in extra thick wool rug was used in the 1940's when this pattern was available. They are all crochet. Pattern is in good condition, a little yelowed with age

Bestway 1164: Carpet slippers made from carpet yarn. From the 1930's this pattern has 6 designs for crochet slippers childrens and adults - pre-made soles are suggested, but with alittle ingenuity soles can be crochet, pade from felt and or the soles sold by Patons may fit the patterns - I will get more information on these and post it on site.Pattern in good sound condition, little discoloured with age.

Copley 1197: Great vintage crochet and knitting book
1930s. There are instructions for knitting plain bed socks, woolly
bootees and fancy bed socks as well as the little CROCHET slippers. The
slippers are worked in speedknit wool which was a thick chunky which
produced 3.5 double crochet to 1 inch. a ready made sole is recommended,
but it is a simple task to make from felt, suede, old slipper soles or
crochet or French knit a long strand and wrap round to make sole shape
using anther slipper sole. To fit childs old UK 9 shoe size. Pattern in nice condition .
