Copley 1460: Great vintage bag knitting crochet pattern 1940s. This pattern has two lovely very retro bags, one to knit and the other to crochet.. The knitted bag is 8.5 inches by 10 inches and the crochet one is 10 inches by 9.5 inches. The yarn used is refered to as 'eighty-one' I am not familier with this yarn, but by making several tension squares in various thicker yarns you will soon find the one that make the size you want in the needles stated.

Homecraft 452: Great vintage CROCHET pattern 1940s hat belt beaded. This little set is great for evenings, weddings and other special occasions. Crocheted in Cronit rayon, no thread size given, but the rayon was a perle or shiny synthetic cotton, so trial by working a sample would be best as there is not tension suggestions either. The sequin and bead trimming can be ommited as they are added after peices have been worked. There are other hat and belt crochet patterns on the crochet pages under ladies patterns that will guide as to how much cotton would be needed and tension etc. Original pattern is god condition

Jack Frost 48: Fabulous book of handbags to CROCHET in various mediums from 1945, in fabulous condition, just a few rust marks on the back pages and wear to the spine, cover a bit loose, large format, feint crease to front. .32 pages all in black and white. This book is from the USA conversion chart included to imperial and metric hooks. There are no tension instructions so trial and error will be the way to go, using modern synthetic yarns, I know one of these yarns used was a plastic thin ribbon like yarn similar to raffia, another one was more tublular - I am sure there are substitutes out there in this wonderful age of crafts. Cotton may also work - experiment, have fun with this fabulous book with 27 different bags.Very Collectable. Great for college and university students studying fashion and design from the early part of the 20th Century. See below for some of the patterns, others available, email for details.

Patons 1159: Very useful vintage knitting pattern for hat and scarf either knitted or crocheted from 1975. Worked in Capstan and aran type wool. Instructions for adult and child. The knitted set is so simple a child or beginner can knit it in no time at all. It is mainly garter stitch with the odd bit of stocking stitch and in thick wool and large needles - great Christmas project, you could even introduce stripes quite easily to make it bright and finish up odds and ends of wool - if you do this make sure they are the same thickness or ply or the knitting will go out of shape.Pattern is in good condition, although it does have a crease across the front.
