Bestway 1426: Great vintage crochet and knitting pattern for rug 1940s. This is a lovely pattern for two rugs, this one is the crochet on and is ova, it measures 48 inches by 37 at the widest point and is crocheted all in one peice. Worked on a large hook, no size but life size diagram give to show size suitable. It will take about 50 balls of wool (50g)  (5 x 1bs of rug wool which is 80oz and there are about 30g in an old 1oz ball) Original pattern in good condition feint crease across centre. There are also instructions knitted rug included in this pattern.

Bestway 98cr: Vintage crochet edgings and laces. Fabulous work book, but in poor condition from early in 1920's. Split spine, clear tape to some pages most instructions are clear. Sorry too big to scan a photocopy.

Dewhursts 6041: Fabulous crochet pattern 1950s. What a great gift idea for this Christmas! These colourful plates and bowls are crocheted in cotton and then stiffened with sugar. My great aunt use to make them - every one had at least one - she also used to make th most beautiful swans and dressing table boxes in the same way.

Emu 6501cr:Great vintage cushion bedspread crochet pattern 1970s. This lovely pattern has instructions for the three different cushion covers and the fabulous bedspread all worked in double knitting wool, put a pretty plain cover under the delicate crochet cover spread and match the lining in the cushions, the lavender in the photo looks fabulous. Worked on a 4.50mm hook. The cushions measure 18 inches square, bedspread 73 x 91 inches, but obviouisly can be made larger, allow more wool if you do this. Pattern in great condition.

Twilleys 6322cr: Great vintage crochet swan mat 1970s. This pattern has instructions for the very popular design with raised swans, this one is for a mat or doily and is worked in no20 cotton. The centre with 7 swans is worked in a 1.50mm hook and the smaller one with 6 swans is worked on 1.25 and 1.50 hook. The larger one is 12 inches (30cm) across and the smaller one is 11.5 inches (29cm ) measured swan to swan. Pattern is in great condition.

Weldons 341cr: Great vintage crochet book 1940'/50s. This one also has 24 pages, but different stitches and motifs. Along with the basic stiches there are instructions for such vintage stitches as star, ball, zig-zag, daisy, Marguerite, clover stitch and many more. There are instuctions to make the lamp shade, filet boarder and babies cardigan shown on the cover as well as rose motifs, flower motifs and some really easy mats to make, to get you started, dont forget that you could put beads on the mats to make jug civers - get ready early for Christmas. Great starter book with that reto edge. The book is in very good condition.
