To fit 18" and 20" chest worked in 4ply, work a tension square to see if you need to change needles to get correct tension. Balls are probably 25g although it does not say. *Peter Pan P242: Great vintage baby crochet pattern for two matinee jacket s 1970s.  Both very pretty and with ribbon at neck, but this can be replaced with a button if you prefer, just make the neck a little smaller when working the neck edging. To fit 18 and 20 inch chest and worked in 4ply yarn. Always work a tension square and change hook if needed. Balls were probably 20g, but work on the thought that they were 1oz (30g) and you will have more than enough.  Pattern in very good condition.

Sirdar 9921: Vintage crochet book for baby first three months. This lovely book has 32 pages of pretty patterns including general how to pages, and close ups of the crochet stitches used. There are instructions for hooded jacket, matinee jacket, layette with dress, jacket, shawl and bootees bonnet and mitts, a carrying cap, so pretty , an easy to make motif jacket (squares) and a cardigan - lots of projects, mostly simple stitches - full instructions on how to work the stitches required. Worked in vintage 3ply so work tension square to see in modern 4ply might work better or just a change of hook - dainty, pretty retro designs for modern babies.

Woolies for Babies Book 245: This vintage knitting book has 16 pages and dates from 1948 USA.  The patterns are mostly CROCHET, but there are several lovely knitting patterns, one set has simple embroidery at the edges, several cardigans, one little cross-over as well as 3 bonnet, mitts and slippers in delightful crochet, 3 matinee sets in crochet and two pram blankets in crochet.  This book is in fabulous condition.
