Bairnswear 182SX: Vintage knitting pattern for ladies socks, 9 designs in all. Tennis with blackberry stitch, or fair isle tops. For rambling in plain rib or different fair isle top, for golf, with decorative tops and surface design and a pair for badminton with two different top designs, all these knitted in vintage 3ply, which will be similar to modern 4ply, the last pair is for skating and is made in vintage 4ply trimmed with angora, try tension square to see if modern double knitting would work. All socks are in three sizes 9", 9.5" and 10" foot from toe to heal - this can of course be adjusted, but if made bigger allow for a little more wool. 1940's

Bestway1586: Great knitting pattern men's tennis jumper and ladies tennis cardigan 1930s. This pattern is from the late 1930s, early 1940s and has instructions for both the man's sleeveless tennis or cricket top and the ladies short or long sleeve tennis cardigan. Both are knitted in  vintage 3ply, so try modern 4ply in tension square and change needles if needed. The ladies cardigan is to fit 36 inch bust and the man's to fit 40 inch chest. Lovely period pattern.

This one is in a nice bold cable, in general tennis sweater tend to be shorter in the body, but this is easily remedied, but allow more yarn if you are going to lengthen the body part. To fit 40 inch chest. Speedinit wool was similar to Aran. Always work a tension square. Pattern is in super condition with slight scuff to front.
