Bestway 1246: Fabulous men's slipper pattern from the 1940's, although ready made soles are used, they can be home made from felt or croched or knitted or even cork can be used, or  ready made insoles. I do believe Coats, see links pages, still do them. , there are knitted  and crocheted designs in this pattern to fit sizes 8, 9, 10, 11 knitted in various yarn, alway work a tension square to see if hook or needles need changing. This would make a great project for next Christmas - something very different and practical!

Bestway 2025: Another great vintage 1940's knitting pattern for the ever popular slipover, great for wearing under suits on a chilly winter day or in the spring when you might like to take your jacket off, but still look smart - great retro alternative to waistcoat. Knitted in vintage 3ply - so use modern 4ply- to fit 38, 40 or 42 inch chest. This one has a bit m ore shape than the one above and fits more snuggly at the waist. This pattern is from the 1940's and has a crease down the centre and is showing signs of wear.

Bestway 2175: Great vintage knitting pattern in fashionable retro style from the 1940's, Lumber jacket with short zip, can be just left open or a button and toggle fastening - lot of options. Knitted in the same as double knitting, but work a tension square to see if you need to change needles to get the desired size, for larger size you can work on larger needles. To fit 40-42" chest. Bestway B2454: Great vintage knitting pattern from the late 1940's to fit 38" to 40" chest in vintage 3ply, so modern 4ply will make a better size, always work a tension square. To get the effect seen a little embroidery is required, very simple stitches ovre existing knitted stitches. This pattern is showing signs of wear and has acrease acrose the middle but is sound and clean. Very classy office wear!
